Kiss

On November 18, 2005 BLOOD began a blog to post their members pages on. Since they are now keeping a blog which will have all of their posts from that date forward, there is no reason for me to continue posting their entries here.

Vol. 190 [I went to see a movie the other day.]

Going to the movies for the first time in so long was a nice change of pace, but there was one thing I found disappointing... I prefer to watch movies in big open spaces with no one else around, and usually there aren't many people at this particular movie theater, but on that day for some reason there were so many people that I just couldn't feel comfortable. Next time I go there, I hope there will be fewer people.

Vol. 189 [I have news.]

It seems that full BLOOD ringtones are now available for download. Everyone please download them all, ok? Unfortunately, it seems that they won't work for DoCoMo users, though. Anyway, our next live is next month in Mexico. I look forward to having everyone come see us. P.S - To everyone who wished me a happy birthday, thank you. It made me very happy.

Vol. 188 [Good evening everyone.]

Today the prince of BLOOD took part in a session live, so I went to see it. Since this was only the second session live I've seen and usually I can only see his back when he's performing, seeing the prince's face felt very different, but very fresh and interesting.

Vol. 187 [My latest routine]

I've been reading a novel on a mobile website as part of my latest routine. It's updated every day a little at a time, so it feels like I can do the reading in just a short span of time. The story's point of view is shared by all the characters in the story, male and female, so it can be seen from all sides. Looking at it that way means I can see how things really happen, and that makes it really interesting.

Vol. 186 [Autumn is here.]

So, the season of changing colors is drawing near. And the weather has become appropriately cold. In this turning point between seasons, when the days are cool and the nights are freezing cold, it's very easy to get sick, so everyone please take care, ok?

Vol. 185 [Good evening everyone.]

Our Toyama live has also ended successfully. I was surprised to see so many people come despite the fact that it was in a place we'd never played before, and the organizers did a great job, so I was very happy with the way it went. If we are called there again, I would love to go back. Thank you so much, everyone.

Vol. 184 [Good evening everyone.]

It's become quite chilly here, hasn't it? And the nights are just plain cold. BLOOD's first sponsor event has just ended successfully, and next is our oneman. It will be our first time at this Japanese venue, so just like with our overseas lives, there's a lot to look forward to.

Vol. 183 [Good evening everyone.]

The time has finally come for BLOOD's first sponsor event. There's really a lot to look forward to there. The other day I watched some of our old live video footage for the first time in a while. We're completely different now, aren't we? Of course the atmosphere of the band, the quality of our lives, the melodies, and the sound had their high and low points. To me there's no comparison - we're definitely much better now than we were then. In that moment I could feel just how much we've grown.

Vol. 182 [Good evening everyone.]

August has ended and September has at last begun. And as the days become cooler, you can really feel the coming end of summer, can't you? And now we proceed into the season of sorrow.

Vol. 181 [Good evening everyone.]

First of all, I'm home. We returned safely to Japan. We went to a lot of new countries on this tour, so I was a little nervous, but each country gave us a warm welcome so everything went quite easily. There were no problems and the tour ended without incident, so it was a great tour.

Vol. 180 [Preparations]

As next week's European tour draws nearer, little by little I've begun to make preparations. I'm really excited to see how the reaction will be this time in all these countries that we've never been to before.

Vol. 179 [Another world]

When I walk along the same street as usual at a different time than usual, even though the flow of time is the same, it's like walking in another world. I walked along thinking, can something really change this much just because the time is different?

Vol. 178 [To me]

Like I always do, I've replaced the strings on my bass again. It really is always great to hear a bass with newly changed strings. Recently I've been listening to songs of genres I never listened to before. I think it's always good to take in things that are new to me.

Vol. 177 [Don't miss out]

Good evening everyone. The peak of the summer heat has set in, hasn't it? In continuation of [VENGEANCE for BLOOD Extra] "Endless Spiral of Tragedy", [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 6] has been confirmed. To all those who weren't able to come see our last oneman live, please don't miss out on [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 6].

Vol. 176 [Good evening everyone.]

The days are still hot as usual, aren't they? And in the middle of it all, the second mini-album in BLOOD's trilogy, [VENGEANCE for BLOOD 2], has at last gone on sale. I think everyone has been able to get it already, but for those who haven't, please do hurry. Just like our previous album, this has turned into another great work, so I think you'll all like it. The songs from this CD will become the main songs we play at our lives as well, so please look forward to hearing them.

Vol. 175 [Tanabata]

Before I knew it, suddenly Tanabata was here. Did you all write your wishes on paper? This year Tanabata was on the 7th day of the 7th month of the 17th year, so I think good things are bound to happen. I wonder if the stars Vega and Altair found happiness in their annual reunion too?

Vol. 174 [One more week]

Good evening everyone. Already only one more week remains until our oneman live. Time really flies, doesn't it? I was thinking it was still just some point in the future, and now suddenly it's right before my eyes. It's been a year since our last oneman in Japan, and this will be our first one in the eastern region, so it promises much to look forward to.

Vol. 173 [Seasons]

Good evening everyone. The days have started to turn hot and sticky, haven't they? I don't really like times like this when the seasons are changing. So, this year I'm undergoing a lot of trial and error in figuring out how to pass the time during these periods.

Vol. 172 [Unexpected]

Someone I haven't had much opportunity to see lately took off to another country. I thought I had lost the fountain pen that person gave to me before leaving, but then it turned up in a completely unexpected place. It's easy to write with and I really like using it, so I was very happy to find it. From now on I'll be more careful not to lose it.

Vol. 171 [Graduation]

As the season of feeling good has become the season of high humidity and feeling terrible, how are you all getting by? Doesn't it make you long for the season of sudden change? Already it's been one very fast week since our last live. Since the guest members have graduated from the band, starting now it'll be just the three of us at our lives. Yuu and Noa, thank you for everything.

Vol. 170 [Death]

Have you ever felt like you were about to die? I've just had my first such experience. It happened while I was driving my car. The left rear tire blew out and the car wavered and went into a spin. I can't even describe how it felt as my heart was racing. Everyone, please be careful and pay very close attention when driving, okay?

Vol. 169 [Recording]

Good evening everyone. BLOOD's latest recording session has at last reached its end. The order that we do our recording in has changed a bit, so now my turn comes last. And my turn has finally come and gone, so from now on we start putting everything together. I really like this part of the recording process. It's the one part I can really focus my energy on.

Vol. 168 [A miracle]

In this town full of so many people, I thought it would take something close to a miracle to encounter the same complete stranger so many times. Even if one does see the same stranger more than once, normally you wouldn't remember them the second time... But that miracle did happen before my own eyes. It wasn't that anything in particular changed, but the retreating form of that stranger happened to catch my eye. I ended up seeing the person several times in one day, or to be more exact, in a few hours. The stranger didn't notice it, but I did. And of course, I couldn't help but smile.

Vol. 167 [Good evening everyone.]

How are you all passing these continuing warm days? As for me, I like to drink a cup of my favorite coffee while basking in the warm sunlight. Recently something happened that made me think about how flexible the mind of a child really is. You know ticket machines these days have signs on them saying "Old 500 yen coins not accepted," right? When adults read that, they think everyone reads it the same way, but apparently children read it as "500 yen per day not accepted." When I heard a child say that by the ticket machine, I wondered if he was talking about allowance from his father. Then when I was putting my change into the machine, I realized what he meant.

Vol. 166 [Flowers]

Already all the sakura blossoms have fallen and our spring scenery is gone. Those flowers that bloom so beautifully for only a short time each year are always precious to me. Just like remembering someone very precious... I pray that beautiful sakura flowers will bloom again next year.

Vol. 165 [Car]

I bought a new car. It's a big car so it's very roomy. This will make a lot of things much easier. Also.........

Vol. 164 [Good evening everyone.]

The sakura are blooming. The scenery around town shows signs of springtime too. Am I the only one who feels so lighthearted? Spring is so wonderful! It has so many symbolic meanings and everything is fresh and new.

Vol. 163 [April begins today.]

How are you all passing the time? When I hear the word April, I can't help but feel the coming of spring. It makes me want to see the sakura blossoms soon. I wonder what they'll be like this year? I'm looking forward to that.

Vol. 162 [Good evening everyone.]

What sort of daily routines do you all have? Mine is to drink a cup of coffee every morning as soon as I wake up. Normally when I drink coffee I take it black, but only when I drink it as part of this daily morning routine, I always add sugar. It's because my sugar level is low in the mornings, which means my physical condition isn't very good. Of course, people who normally eat breakfast don't need to do this, right? But I don't eat breakfast, so I always put sugar in my morning cup.

Vol. 161 [Good evening everyone.]

Do you have some sort of spot of your own that you love going to? I do. It's a perfect place with an uninterrupted view of the night. I ended up going there just the other day too, so it was really nice. It relaxes my mind

Vol. 160 [Our new costumes are finished!]

All of us are just astounded by how much more amazing the new costumes are than the old ones. We couldn't be more thrilled. After much consideration about things like hairstyles to go with my new costume, I decided to wear a wig, so I had my hair cut short too. Still, it's really exciting, isn't it?

Vol. 159 [Calms me down]

Good evening everyone! I've just cleaned up my room for the first time in a long while. Somehow, cleaning my room calms me down. Because I can find out for sure where everything is, and now and then there are fun moments like finding things I thought were lost... This time I think I'll do my best to keep my room in this condition.

Vol. 158 [Motorcycle]

After being ridden throughout all of 4 years and soon to break into year 5, my favorite vehicle (my motorcycle) Takuto-kun has finally run down. Considering I bought it used, it actually had very few breakdowns and ran well for me all this time. The person at the shop I took it to for repairs also told me it ran very well right to the end of its lifespan. Anyway, I depended on that motorcycle for about 80% of my transportation needs, so I guess I need to find my next one as soon as possible. What should the next motorcycle I ride be, I wonder?

Vol. 157 [Murders]

Recently, when I watch the news, I see so many murder stories. The world really is a dangerous place, isn't it? It makes me wonder, what on earth could be so enjoyable about committing such crimes?

February 18, 2005

Vol. 156 [The Grudge]

The new version of "Ju-on: The Grudge" is playing now. I've seen the whole series up to now, so I really want to see this one too. Right now I'm trying to decide whether to go see it in the theater or wait until I can rent it. Seeing it on the huge screen at the theater would make it twice as scary...

February 11, 2005

Vol. 155 [5 hours and 30 minutes]

Is a time of 5 hours and 30 minutes considered fast for the drive from Osaka to Tokyo? It always takes about that long for BLOOD to make this trip. I wonder if skipping our midway rest break would cut it down to 5 hours? Also, I'm changing the subject, but yet again some of my equipment is broken. This is the third time. The first was at a live in Yokohama, the second was on the last day of the December tour, and now, it happened at our live the other day. I wonder why it's been breaking so easily? It's really annoying.

Vol. 154 [An old song that I loved]

We've made a new recording of one of our old songs that I loved. We finished it so quickly, it was as if all those hardships we went through when we first recorded it were all a lie. I was touched to realize that people really do grow and change so much.

January 28, 2005

Vol. 153 [ETC]

I've become very accustomed to traveling between here and eastern Japan for lives. This time all of us were highly impressed by the wonders of the ETC system I had recently put into the car. It does make going through tollbooths much faster. It really cancels out the usual stress of those situations. Life has become so much more convenient!

January 21, 2005

Vol. 152 [Back to back appearances]

As the new CD is finished, BLOOD is now only awaiting the day it goes on sale, but already we've begun recording for the next CD. So it looks like new songs will soon show up in back to back appearances at our lives too. It all starts at the next live...

January 14, 2005

Vol. 151 [Car navigation system]

Congratulations on the start of the new year. How did the holiday go for all of you? As for me, my car navigation system broke right at the start. Traveling becomes a real problem if I don't have my car navi, so when it broke, I ended up buying a new one after a few hours. I guess my new year got off to a bad start.

January 7, 2005

Vol. 150 [The next tour]

As our final live of the year is over, I can breathe a sigh of relief. Looking back, a lot has happened in the past year, but I think it was a good year. We returned safely from the European tour with our next tour already confirmed, and I want to keep on running forward next year, just like I have this year. P.S. Juya, thanks for everything. If we get the chance, I'd love to play together again.
